Sonarpur and Baruipur block is under the Community development block of South 24 Parganas district in west Bengal. No special school is found for Special able students, basically Mentally Challenge, Cerebral Pulse, Autistic, and Multi disabled students. In this situation Mr. Bibekananda Bag and His wife Mrs. Mala Goswami started one therapy center for these types of students in the year 2006. At that time students came in once a week. After 02 years Purba Dwarakapur Moon Star Sangha(PMSS) established one special school for the person with disability students in the year 2008 in the name  “Niharika Handicapped School”. PMSS serves to the especially able needy human beings without caste, creed, colour, race, religion or any distinction.  The present beneficiaries of all are under Especially able Children category i.e Mentally Challenge, Cerebral Pulse, Autistic, and Multi disabled students. Total 98 special able students present in the school. All special students are under BPL (Below Poverty line). Speech therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Music Therapy, Dance therapy also provided free of cost to all students as per doctor prescribe.
